Oh Yeah, Just Wondering...
Recommendation: It is multiple choice, but I'd appreciate your opinion. Not eveyone likes the "addict" color theme, and I am open to making changes.

Hi Everyone,
Jeff, is TNH a good stock for intraday play?
Thanks and i learn a lot from this blog.
By the way, as a good citizen of optionaddict community, i have voted already.

It disturbs me to see "Knight Rider" in front of a Vespa. I mean, at one time he did have the coolest car ever.
Jeff,
Are you feeling nostalgic over yesteryear? Just wondering because of your choice of music lately.
Seems like the market isn't doing much of anything at the moment. With bated breath?

Let's see, The Dude, Hasselfhoff and Lionel all sharing the front page. That's an eclectic mix. Why not some Richard Simmons also to pump us up? Thank goodness there's also a picture of your lovely bride to balance things out.
ORCL looks interesting today.

Jeff,
Who the heck cares about what the "Gritchers" think about your blog color! It's your blog. It's your personality. Do it the way you want. They should be thankful they are receiving the blessing for all you do for us option addicts, instead of gritching about the color background. I won't vote because I don't want to influence you in any way. THANK GOD FOR JEFF KOHLER AND HIS BLOG!!!!! Repeat that 20 times. It has a nice ring to it.
Posted by Anonymous | 6/28/2007 11:47:00 AM
Kas,
If you still have access to Investools and your on-line courses, you can print a copy or even make a PDF of the current documentation.
Liz, I'm with you girl...black is back!
Posted by Chip | 6/28/2007 11:49:00 AM
As I've watched my account pre-announcement it's kind of funny, literally up, down, up, down and now back up as we get to the run up at 1:15 CDT. It's like the market is just looking for an excuse to go crazy to the upside!
Posted by Chip | 6/28/2007 11:53:00 AM
I like the black background, but sometimes I want to copy, paste and print something and don't want to use all my black ink....
Posted by Anonymous | 6/28/2007 12:00:00 PM
Jeff:
All of a sudden LZ spreads on options are crazy. Any explanation?
They were not like that last week?

ADDICTS
While waiting on the announcement, I ask a question. Bette 80's show, Knight Rider or A-team?

All we need now is a drum roll.....
Posted by Raimo | 6/28/2007 12:06:00 PM
If you "want to copy, paste and print something...", then copy and paste into a text document, like Notepad, Word or other document application, then you can save, print, etc and you won't get the black background!

Blogging from the plane right before takeoff. Calling all addicts. PLEASE hold up the market while I'm in the air. Get a burrito, get a white mocha, do something.

Initially the market liked it, then it didn't...it's still sorting it out. Looks like it's moving/moved back up. (You should be able to tell by looking at your own acct or the broader markets.)
This is not atypical. Watch your trades as we approach the market close.

Posted by optionfanatic | 6/28/2007 01:02:00 PM
Brett's been around long enough...okay yeah, probably! He'll be reassured as soon as he powers that laptop up as he's walking off of the plane!
Well at least now we can get back to normal, what ever that's supposed to be lately.
Posted by Chip | 6/28/2007 01:02:00 PM
EGN to the downside, and I took TOL to the downside when I mentioned it last week....

My only frustrating trade is AAPL..I know I got in early, but it is still within my pattern...so...its a small postion, I am playing the old I-phone hype...and uptrend and analyst upgrade...but small postion so if I am wrong I'll get out unscathed...
Posted by Raimo | 6/28/2007 01:07:00 PM
Michelle, I bet you forgot to put on rally cap! I'm still looking for mine, I know it here somewhere?

Couldnt agree more. I have a very small position too, and staying there for now.

Who is supposed to make the market rally? Maybe we should all start buying? (laughter.) Okay, so we aren't Warren Buffet. I am going to go do something else. My account is about the same, some up, some down, but nothing breaking support. Just hope we don't have counter-Fed day tomorrow (laughs hysterically now.) Okay. It's been a long couple of weeks.

R u still in your CME call??

Long:
OXY, MMM, RL, CLB, FCX, MLM, CTV
SHORT:
KIM, MSTR, PBCT, AMAG, ALB, ROG, JWN, BSC
MMM IS FRUSTRATING-SEEMS TO BE IN A CHANNEL. I WILL EXIT JWN IF IT CLOSES ABOVE MY RESISTANCE OF 50.25.
EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE HOLDING UP. i HAVE 15 POSITIONS WHICH IS REALLY TOO MANY BUT IT SO HARD TO PASS UP A GOOD POSSIBILITY. I ONLY HAVE 1 OPTION IN EACH.
Posted by Anonymous | 6/28/2007 01:19:00 PM
Yes, I am. Couldn't let it go. It now has made up almost half of what I was down. This market is just crazy.
Michelle
P.S. Plus it's a September

Michelle,
CME will retest $560 again. If it bounces back down off $560, get out.
Posted by Raimo | 6/28/2007 01:23:00 PM
Raimo,
You still short LCC?
I have support at ~29.9 (diag) and 30.2 (horiz), which means I'm busted. You have anything different, I don't have my Prophet Charts available at the office?
Posted by Chip | 6/28/2007 01:25:00 PM
Grant,
to answer your earlier question, (knigt rider, A team, Bette), the answer is:
DUKES OF HAZZARD!
Posted by Raimo | 6/28/2007 01:27:00 PM
LCC at $31.17, gapped up from $29.67. Resistance at $32.50....get out if it breaks that.

Thanks, Bob. I am keeping my eye on it. I have found that sometimes when I freak out and act too soon, I lose money. I try to calmly do what I need to and give things a few hours or days to shake out.
BSC, LCC -- I'm in those, too. Luckily, only one put each.

Michelle
Posted by Anonymous | 6/28/2007 02:09:00 PM
Did anyone else get into GIVN and FLIR yesterday??? they both played nice today...
had to exit JWN today near the close (at least i waited til the end of the day, instead of getting out at the top of the day)
also out of UAUA ($40 was my exit point)what happened to airlines today ??
Posted by Tonya W | 6/28/2007 02:10:00 PM
Michelle,
When the Fed raises rates...the market goes DOWN! So we don't want that, unless you're only playing short.
Tonya,
JP Morgan upgraded six airlines today including UAUA and LCC. Still in LCC for the time being.

I took profits on SNHY way back at 40.50 and I thought I was to cool for school then!
I am almost all cash so I am just rooting you all on.
I could use a little help if someone could push PFCB down 3 or 4 ticks in the next 2 trading days. It won't make up its mind.

If this was the rally, maybe the counterFed day will be up 100 points.
