Can you make heads or tails of this market yet? Me neither. However, it is better that the market is only slightly down than really down. That is if you are still bullish. I am amazed that oil prices continue to drop. We'll see how that continues to hold up.
Got any good stocks for the watchlists this week? I have too many. My patterns list is full, but I can't pass them out until tomorrow morning anyways. If I hand out all the free treats before my class, for some strange reason attendance suffers. So tomorrow morning it is.
However, what about stocks making new highs or bounces? I'll share a few if you will...
PS- If anyone out there traded that cheap stock I posted last week, VDSI...Nice Work!
New Highs Today (Still Early In The Trading Day)
CPA, DST, MFW, PVH, LFC, FFIV, RIMM, WYNN, LH, LMT
Bouncing off old support or resistance levels
HIG, JWN, TSCO, MON, OEH, CLB, JAS
I will be here if you need me. Another post coming later in the afternoon.
Hey Jeff,
Bailed out of INFY today on the fears of earnings coming up and no real movement on the stock (except some mostly sideways stuff.) ICE is still my hero... guess this one's part of my 5% that'll make 95% of my profits. Now all I need to do is make sure I hang on to the profits. I'm having a tough time keeping up with all the stocks that are being recommended and missed out on VDSI. It fit right in with my love of buying stuff at the bottom of a channel and watching for it to break through support (to bail out) or watch it climb. I love to be able to make up my mind within a couple of days if it's continuing the trend or bucking it (if you'll pardon my saying so.)
Cheers.

Chris and Catherine,
Can't be mad at you for that. You are right though, the watchlists are extensive. I am glad however that you did trade ICE.
Take care,
Jeff

Jeff, we always need you! Emily and I are looking for some yummy breakouts...I have a new rule.don't trade stocks in bed. I was in a trade on OMC today and fell asleep when it hit it's low. I did set a stop and got out before it went up past the open (phew). We have watches on GS, RIMM, PRU. Really low volume today. We had our best trade ever on Friday with RTP we bought a put out of the money and got in the trade at 204.00 and got out at 194.00 a great 10.00 move. We made over 100% profit. I have been doing much better since I get out of the losses sooner and let winners run. Talk to you soon. Karen

I'm watching for bearish trades NCX and EWBC. Might enter at the end of the day.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for opening the forum on trading rules, and thanks to everyone who participated. Our rules mirror many that were writtn. One area not yet discussed is short term and long term personal goals and how these rules apply to different accounts. I took positions last week on ICE and on $SPX. So far, both are looking good.
One last comment. GO BUCKS!!

Anyone else had any trouble today with the INvestools website? I've been unable to pull up any corporate snapshots.

I was not able to view corporate snapshots as well today. I talked to an investools technical analyst and they told me to go to www.java.com to download a different version of java, i was running java 6.0 and now have 5.0. After doing this, I was able to view the corporste snapshots.
